After five years of working with frontpage I purchased Expressions web 2 (EW2), as front page is basically outdated. I installed EW2 on windows, xp pro and was just beginning to learn how to use it when suddenly the application shut down and refused to open. After trying several times unsuccessfully I decided to uninstall the program and reinstall it. Using the software dvd the program could not be repaired, changed or even uninstalled. An exhaustive search on the web revealed that Microsoft has no fix anywhere on the web for the particular problem I was experiencing and the cost for the manufacturer's direct technical support for a single email support issue was higher than the cost of the software itself. Accordingly, I deleted the EW2 program files from my computer via windows explorer and returned the software for refund. Thankfully the program failed within Amazon's return window. I then purchased the Dreamweaver program by direct download from adobe. It is a more expensive program and is not quite as intuitive as some of the simpler web design programs but it is working fine and adobe has excellent technical support for its products.
