I bought the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Update because it stated that the Entourage feature would allow me to access my company's e-mail from home. In no review did I read that before I bought the upgrade, I should check the technical support for the e-mail system. I assumed because I had to have the upgraded feature I could access my e-mail - wrong. Not worth the money and now I cannot return "opened" software. Customer Review: Lack of Visual Basic (VBA)

The lack of VBA scripting support was only noticed once I began my school studies which required either using MegaStat or Analysis Tool Pack (ATP). Compared to the PC using students I am having to scramble to find alternatives. This kind of "hidden gotcha" is what you can expect from Microsoft. Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Upgrade
This Mac upgrade is FAR SUPERIOR to Office 2007 for Windows XP. The main reason is with the Mac upgrade you still get the pull down menus, which have been eliminated and converted to the annoying "ribbon"in the XP version. I have to admit, I was expecting the worst when I ordered the Mac Office upgrade, but was pleasantly surprised to find a software upgrade that was exactly that! As opposed to the Windows 2007 upgrade, I can still pretty much find everything and am not searching for functions that are hidden in that horrible and dysfunctional ribbon. Thank you, Microsoft for keeping the pull down menus in the Mac version. One relieved and happy customer here.
