Customer Review: Product Good, Support Not Good Enough

I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the support, the product is excellent. I use Michael Linenberger's "Total Workday Control: Using Outlook 2007" which I highly recommend, so the first thing I did when I got this package is that I started configuring Outlook as I normally did when when I get a new home or office computer, but this time my configurations did not stick. I tried resetting it, turning on and off, etc. I asked support from Microsoft but by the time I got the response, which I don't think offered the best solution, the problem got fixed when I updated (ran an update that was available when I installed the package) Windows Vista. I had to say this; I do not know how not running this one time update affects Excel or Word's features availability. After that Office has been running smoothly. Microsoft came back to me for some feedback also.

I purchased the item hoping to update my office system. I opened the product, installed it and then TRIED to use it. It was so totally different from the Office 2003 version that I could NOT figure it out. After several unsuccesful attempts at using the program and lots of cursing, I called Amazon. I returned the product to them and got a partial refund. I lost some money but kept my sanity.

I don't know what Microsoft was thinking when they came up with the new format, but for people who use only the basic components of the program, they TOTALLY missed the mark.

I have never received the product. I was billed $179 for it and have not seen it, in spite of it being almost a full month now since I ordered it. Every time I went to the Amazon.com website to check the status - 'Where's My Stuff?', I was instructed to contact the vendor, one 'VMurray'. I sent repeated emails to 'VMurray' and have not had the courtesy of an acknowledgement that they even received my emails. As far as I am concerned, VMurray must have taken my $179 and gone to the beach and ordered hot dogs and beer for the office staff.
With regard to Amazon, I am getting frequent discount offers since I am now 'a customer', but I cannot find a phone number or an email address with which to contact Amazon and ask someone responsible what happend to my $179 and when and if I am ever going to get the software. Don't need any more discount offers because I can go broke at the rate of ordering and paying for 'My Stuff' that is never shipped.
I would like for someone at Amazon to tell me how the order can be cancelled and I can be given full credit for the product which I have never received.
