Software Reviews of Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade

Customer Review: The best Windows OS ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been using Windows OS since the first version and this is by far the best. I installed in a DELL XPS 420 system and it works better than when I bought the computer with Vista Home Premium. Istalling it was superfast and customize it took just minutes. It is a very fast system (specially if you can set the 64-bit version) and you will not be dissapointed. Both the 32 bit and the 64 bit edition come in the package. My wife is not very good with computer and she noticed the change right away. She loves it as well. All my peripherial work just fine so I don't have the compatibilities issues that I run into while using VISTA.

Customer Review: I like it...
Summary: 4 Stars

I went through 3 weeks of hell trying to install this product which had nothing to do with the CD I bought at Amazon, which caused me to return the Upgrade version. Amazon promptly refunded my money and I bought the full version, which probably would have worked fine but for my own problems with a non-compatible video card. Now that it's all over I am very happy having fun with this OS.

Customer Review: MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL UPGRADE
Summary: 2 Stars

I AM VERY DISAPPIONTED IN THE PROGRAM RECEIVED. I COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK AND DEALING WITH THE MICROSOFT OFFSHORE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS. THEY DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND ME AND APPARENTLY DO NOT KNOW THE NEW PROGRAM AS THEY KEPT PUTTING ME ON HOLD TO TRY AND FIND AN ANSWER - FINALLY THEIR SYSTEM HUNG UP ON ME. AS I COULD NOT GET THE PROGRAM TO WORK I HIRED A LOCAL COMPUTER COMPANY, WHICH COST $107.42, TO TRY AND FIND OUT MY PROBLEM. IT WAS NOT MY PROBLEM BUT IT WAS DETERMINED THAT I HAD RECEIVED A CORRUPT DISK. THEREFORE THE LOCAL TECH HAD TO DO A DIAL UP DOWNLOAD AND AGAIN IT DID NOT WORK THE NEXT DAY WHEN I SIGNED ON SO THE TECH CAME BACK AGAIN AND WENT IN THE BACK DOOR TO GET THE PROGRAM SO I CAN USE IT - HE ALSO ADVISED THAT HE HAD SEVERAL OTHER CLIENTS THAT WERE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. I AM STILL HAVE SOME PROBLEMS GETTING SOME PROGRAMS TO WORK.

I WISH THAT I COULD GO BACK TO WINDOWS 98 OR XP AS THEY WERE MORE USER FRIENDLY PROGRAMS.

RIGHT NOW I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL TO ANYBODY.

Customer Review: Worth the upgrade? Usually not
Summary: 4 Stars

If you're buying a new computer, absolutely get Windows 7. If you're running Vista, maybe get the upgrade. If you're running XP, don't bother with an upgrade, at least until Microsoft drops support and security patches for XP.

Customer Review: Long overdue
Summary: 5 Stars

I have held on to xp for long enough. Win 7 is a superior operating system - faster, less crashes and easy to use. Get it.
Upgrade from xp - no big deal. It does take time since you need to do a clean install. Switch to 64 bit is a good thing.
