Software Reviews of Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium UPGRADE [DVD] [OLD VERSION]

Customer Review: Careful using a mac/windows PC
Summary: 3 Stars

Everything was fine until I tried to install it on a applemac in windows operation. Because there is no mechanical eject on a apple mac, you cannot install the upgrade version, after a long time on the phone with Windows and Apple, Microsoft gave me the right activation code to go live.

Customer Review: Windows Vista O/S Review
Summary: 5 Stars

Windows Vista has many really nice features and perks, however ensure that your current software is Vista compatible. The shipment was on time and in excellent condition.

Customer Review: The worst operating system Microsoft has come up with
Summary: 1 Stars

this is the worst operating system Microsoft has come up with. Take my word, don't waste your money, this system has too many failures, doesn't work properly and if your computer is not a state-of-the-art, would make it slower and give you trouble. Better stay with XP one that really works!

Customer Review: surprisingly easy, but takes some getting used to
Summary: 5 Stars

I installed this on my kids' computer which previously had Windows 2000 Professional. The installation process was easy, and customizing settings and the desktop were easy as well. Still having issues trying to get the settings right for parental control. Trying to block certain sites for my teenagers, but then they can't get on the sites they want which are ok - I have to go manually type in a password for each site. Over time this will be less of an issue, as each request and permission is logged and will be remembered the next time they visit that site. Better to block too much than not enough I guess. Lots of great features - I love the gadgets on the desktop including clock, calendar & more. Start menu is different & takes some getting used to, and if you're used to navigating by exploring folders on your own rather than letting the computer think for you then this will take some getting used to.

Customer Review: it's a downgrade
Summary: 1 Stars

vista is a great example of bloatware, my laptop came with vista and it was really slow for a 2Ghz cpu with 2GB of ram.

The interface reduced my productivity.

I got really annoyed when it kept asking me to enter the admin password for anything i wanted to do.

The battery was supposed to last 1 hour but lasted less than that.

I tried making a copy of a dvd and it wouldnt let me.

Some software of the software i use was not compatible with it.

It totaly sucks. I had to upgrade back to windows xp with a dual boot to ubuntu which has nicer desktop graphics than vista.
